Ingredients

- 2 Pomfret fish (cleaned and scored)
- 3 tbsp ground chilli
- 3 tbsp fish curry spice
- 1 inch ginger
- 3 inch turmeric leaves
- 1 inch belacan
- 5 onions
- 3 cloves garlic
- (Grind ginger, turmeric leaves, belacan, onion and garlic together)
- ½ cup cooking oil
- 10 stalks curry leaves
- 1 tbsp tamarind starch
- 1 cup concentrated coconut milk
- 5 small okras (stalks trimmed)
- 2 tomatoes (cut into quarters)
- Salt, to taste
Instructions
- Heat cooking oil in saucepan. Saute the curry leaves and the ingredients in Step 1.
- Stir until oil separates. Add the tamarind starch, coconut milk and salt. Bring to a boil.
- Add in the pomfret fish. Cook until boil.
- Add in the okras and tomatoes. Once cooked, remove from heat and serve.
