- 1/2 cup of ARUN Rice flour
- 1 cup ARUN gram dhall flour
- 1/4 cup of corn flour
- 1/2 teaspoon of white cumin (pounded)
- 1/2 teaspoon of white sesame seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon of omam grains (pounded)
- Salt to taste
- 1 tablespoon of sugar
- 1 tablespoon of planta
- Adequate water
- Groudnuts (fried)
- Curry leaves (fried)
Instructions
- Mix the main ingredients as listed above until it become like capati dough.
(Chili powder can be added according to individual needs if you want a spicy omapodi) - Gradually add the dough into a small perforated murukku mold and produce a long thin murukku.
- Fry until golden brown color.
- Mix the fried groundnuts and curry leaves with the fried omapodi.
- Omapodi is ready to be served.
